I'll do my post about a girl from one of my favorite books. Her name is Evermore. She is an immortal. She was saved and turned by a boy who is also an immortal so they could be together always.
She is one of the immortals in the world born with specials abilities. Just by touching someone's skin she can see their whole life story and what in store fro their future. She's new to the whole world of physics and magic so she tends to get into trouble when it comes to hexes and spells.
She is pretty much alone in the immortal world. She can't tell her friends about her being able to live forever cause they'd think she was crazy. Evermore has long blonde hair, is tall, and thin like a model. Being immortal makes you look different then you usually would but in a good way. She is very smart but never shows it in school. Why should she? When she can just read she teacher's mind to find out the answers. Although she is very pretty now and has amazing abilities she is still shy and quiet and tends to keep to herself, not usually liking the nasty thoughts girls think about her but never say to her face. Her family was killed in the accident the boy saved her from. So now she lives with her Auntie in California in a beautiful beach house.
She has a pretty good life from the way I've described it but really she is suffering inside. If she happens to die at the hands of another immortal her soul cant move on. It will just go right to the shadow lands where there is eternal darkness and her soul will never rest. is the price she had to pay to become an immortal. So I guess that's my post on Evermore Bloom.
Ok, let's see some things I seem to enjoy would be...
I enjoy painting, mainly with water colours or oil paints.
I enjoy long drives at night, when all the city lights are on. I enjoy baths where the bubbles go over my head.
I enjoy the fog covering the ground as I walk.
I enjoy reading about fantasy or mythology.
I enjoy watching anime shows or anything Japanese.I enjoy people with piercings, tattoos and rainbow hair.
I enjoy soft, warm sweaters that I can hide inside.
I enjoy kittens and most soft baby animals. I enjoy being on the roof, a high place where no one can get me.
I enjoy being warm inside when it's pouring rain or snowing in heaps.
I enjoy walking during autumn when the air is cold, the ground is wet and the leafs are falling.
I enjoy playing horror games with friends, so I don't have to be scared alone.
I enjoy being cold, cause it's easier to get warm then it is to cool off.
I enjoy being up at night because that's when everything exciting in life happens.
I enjoy staying at home alone then I can just be by myself and not worry about what people think.
So uh, yea that's what I enjoy.
Hope you enjoy reading it and... yea.
So we all had to watch this movie for English class and it was on Copywriting.
The guy who was filming it thought that people should be able to use other peoples music to make their own. Also that creativity and expressing yourself should be free.
To me the guy filming was being entirely one sided.
I mean if I wrote a song I'd like to get paid for it. and if someone was getting paid for something I wrote well I'd probably get upset. Song writers need to make a living too.
But at the same time, I don't think they should be putting a cap on peoples creativity.
We as people need to find some sort of happy middle.
Like music should be free to download and edit as you please but if you want to sell anything you mix then all the money you make should be split evenly between you and the people who's songs you used. Seems fair right?
This film was bias in more then one way. The mood the whole time was so negative towards the copy write companies. And as I said before the whole tone of it was one sided. They were always stating how the copy write companies are trying to control you and take away your creativeness. Should they could charge less but they need to make a living as well. The future is becoming less free, this is true but there is no need to hate and point fingers about it. we all contribute to the hiring prices.
But so that I am not being one sided, that is really the reason we download music. people put such a high price on music we just think to ourselves that it's not worth it like why spend $30:00 on a CD when I can just go home and down load it.
So I can see both sides of this argument and just a thought, if in the film they had told some of the other side's story there argument would have seemed far less bias then it would have made his case more convincing. Like not even 20 minutes of the film to talk about how the song writers need to feed their family too would have sufficed.
